Workshop:
Healing Without Fear: Enhancing Compassion in Healthcare
Reconnect to the dream of healing which led you into
the healthcare profession. Realize the power of that dream in
coping with and influencing the fear in the healthcare system.
In this workshop,
you will learn to recognize fear – in yourself, in others,
and in a system. Once there is consciousness, more options become
available for replacing fear with love. Breathwork, guided imagery,
and storytelling are just some of the experiential tools you will
experience. You will begin a personal healing process, which will
help you re-engage with love, compassion, and joy in your work.
The workshop includes several rituals of letting-go activities
for replacing fear and the creation of a beaded talisman meant
to crystallize the learnings of the day. The workshop ends with
an uplifting, transformative ritual acknowledging your healing
gifts.

Workshop:
When Someone Is Dying
Feelings of grief and loss start before someone dies.
The earlier families can talk about and plan for the anticipated
death of a loved one, the more opportunities exist for intimacy
and comfort. We help people honor and celebrate the life that
is being lived and the one that is passing. Attention to the bereaved
heart is given through sharing information:
- Discussing
how grief has been viewed in this culture and how that affects
our own experience
- Learning
about the dying process
- Identifying
the important questions and priorities that individual family
member may have
- Talking
with other family members about making funeral decisions
- Balancing
concerns about cost, showing love, convenience, and values
- Selecting
the funeral or home funeral options that match your values
- Reflecting
on the process of grieving
- Experiencing
mindfulness stress-reduction meditation exercises
This three-session
class is for anyone who is processing their own death or that
of someone else. This is a wonderful opportunity for family members
and other loved ones to come together. This class is of particular
interest to people who want to feel more prepared for the death
of a loved one.

Consulting,
Planning, and Facilitating
Rites
of Change provides unique and individualized consulting
services. We are committed to providing our services with mutual
respect. The consulting process starts with a reflective conversation
that deepens and clarifies the client’s intention. We then
plan a meaningful ritual, ceremony, or event that utilizes the
client’s own talents, resources, and images. Rites of Change
also facilitates the ritual, ceremony, or event upon request.
Consultation
is charged by the hour or by a package that includes facilitation.
A client can start with an hourly fee and later roll that fee
into a package if desired. Rites of Change will provide prospective
clients with a complimentary estimate of time and cost for each
consultation. All client work is confidential. Individual client
needs can often be met within 1 to 4 hours.
