What’s
On Ellen’s Mind?
My
current spiritual practice.
Staying in the present moment (giving my attention fully
to whatever I am doing). With the fullness of my schedule I notice
that as soon as I slip out of being in the “present”,
I begin to worry, feel overwhelmed, or become fearful. When I
can be “present,” these more challenging states dissipate.
When I return to the present I resume a pleasant or neutral attitude.
Not losing
sight of my New Year’s Resolution.
This year I made a New Year's resolution to practice "letting
go" when I noticed myself being resentful or angry. It’s
easier said than done. I have found that to notice the feeling
and the accompanying body sensations is very helpful. When I do
this, my way in the world becomes
clearer and easier.
What are
your spiritual practices, and how are your New Year’s resolutions
unfolding?
Write and let me know. I’d love to hear from you.
